An independent, multidisciplinary forum in Barcelona for people who use, build, teach, question or make decisions about artificial intelligence.
Barcelona AI Forum brings together professionals across business, technology and creativity to learn, exchange ideas and put artificial intelligence into practice. It is based in Barcelona, with a European outlook.
Our mission is to make applied AI more understandable, useful and responsible: by bringing different professions into the same conversation, sharing practical knowledge, and turning firsthand experience into better decisions in organisations and in public debate.
Over time we want to become a respected Barcelona meeting point for applied AI knowledge, and a credible source of practical insight on how AI affects European companies, professionals and society.

A forum is a recurring place where people with different perspectives meet, discuss, exchange evidence and work out what to do. It can be a room, an online community, a series of events or a publication.
Barcelona has had one before. Roman Barcino's forum stood on Mont Tàber, the low hill at the heart of today's Gothic Quarter. Four columns of its Temple of Augustus still stand in Carrer del Paradís.
The word gives us no legal status, accreditation or public authority. Legitimacy has to be earned, through real expertise, open governance, published work and honest operation.

Alex Andrushevich (Alex Andru, known online as QuantGeekDev) is a software and AI engineer in Barcelona and an open-source contributor known for his work on Model Context Protocol tooling. He created MCP Framework, a TypeScript framework for building MCP servers, and maintains other open-source MCP projects.
He started Barcelona AI Forum to connect technical and non-technical professionals around the practical use of artificial intelligence.
Barcelona AI Forum is currently a founder-led initiative. It is not a registered association, a public body or an accredited educational institution, and it is not affiliated with or endorsed by the European Union or the European Commission.
The website is operated by Alex Andrushevich, who is also responsible for any personal data you share here. Details are in the legal notice and the privacy notice.
If the Forum later becomes an association, this page will say so, with its registration details.
Training and consulting for organisations are paid services, offered by the operator under the Forum's name. They are labelled as such, have their own enquiry route and are kept apart from the community.
Taking part in the community never requires buying anything, and community members' details are never passed to a sales process.
We are looking for people who want to give a talk, run a demonstration or workshop, review research, or help with an event. Tell us what you have in mind.
