A Barcelona forum with a European outlook
We follow how AI is adopted, governed and taught across Europe, and we want to add practical evidence to that conversation. We are not an EU body and do not speak for one.

Companies in Barcelona build and buy AI under European rules, compete in European markets and hire across Europe. The questions our community faces, from AI literacy to procurement to transparency, are shaped in Brussels as much as in Barcelona.
Practitioners often see what policy debates miss: what a rule costs a small team, which guidance is unclear, which training actually works. That experience is worth collecting and sharing.

Barcelona AI Forum is an independent initiative. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by or funded by the European Union or the European Commission.
If that ever changes, for example through a grant or a formal partnership, we will say exactly what the relationship is and link to the source.
Article 4 of the AI Act concerns AI literacy among the staff of organisations that provide or use AI systems. It has applied since 2 February 2025 and was amended in 2026. Our workshops can support an organisation's AI literacy efforts. They are not a certification and do not replace legal advice. See what we offer organisations.
